Bocchino and Lamb Prepared for Daytona With New Sponsor Cybernation

January 21, 2009 - ATLANTA, GA – Glenn Bocchino and Todd Lamb, running with the Kinetic Motorsports team, will kick off the 2009 Koni Sports Car Challenge race season at Daytona International Speedway with a new sponsor and new livery for 2009. After a very successful 2008 season for Lamb and Bocchino driving separate cars/series, Cybernation Computer Solutions will sponsor the GS #32 BMW M3 that the pair will run together to compete for the 2009 championship.

Bocchino and Lamb previously raced against each other in Acuras in the Street Tuner (ST) class, but their first time together as co-drivers came at Daytona earlier this month while testing the Grand Sport (GS)  BMW. The 3-day test went very well, with the #32 BMW consistently among the top 10 fastest cars.

Lamb returns to Kinetic Motorsports after running with the team for four races in 2008, leading races at both Watkins Glen and New Jersey.  The past two years Lamb has finished fourth in the ST class at Daytona,  as well as winning the NASA Spec Miata National Championship. Lamb has been on the Koni Sports Car Challenge podium in the past, however he is still looking for that elusive first victory.

Todd Lamb: “It’s great to be running with Kinetic again this season,  and I’m looking forward to co-driving with Glenn. We had a great test and found a really good race setup for the car, so I have confidence we’ll be in a good position as the race unfolds.”

Bocchino is the former i-MOTO Racing team owner and driver, winning the 2008 Daytona event in ST and finishing third as team owner for the 2008 season. Bocchino has chosen to put team ownership on the back burner to focus on being a driver for 2009, after a late season opportunity to drive with Kinetic in 2008 gave him a taste of GS racing.

Glenn Bocchino: “I am impressed with the level of professional engineering and the first class operation that Kinetic has, and together I feel we can compete for the 2009 GS Championship.”

Bocchino and Lamb, along with technical partners Cobalt Friction,  Saferacer, Traqmate, Alpinestars and Performance Drink, are planning to evolve the #32 Kinetic entry from the E46 M3 chassis to the new E92 M3 chassis in mid 2009.
